Blog #12: The Dissolving of Copywright

Due to busy schedules of the upcoming school year and the fact that half the band does not go to the same school anymore, Copywright is going to take a break from making music for a while. We might come back and some of us might be in the talent show in January, but nothing is decided yet.

We need to thank everyone for all the YouTube views, arm-waving when we performed DSB, and everyone who cared that we existed during our fun little stunt as a band. It was very fun while it lasted, and we promise we'll be back someday.

Blog #11: Another Talent Show

Copywright's found another talent show to perform in! There will be a teen talent show at Dousman Derby Days this Saturday at 1 p.m. The song will be "Don't Stop Believing", as it seems to be pretty popular with everyone who hears it. See you there!

Blog #10: The Talent Show

Today was the last day of school, which also happened to be the day of the talent show. In my opinion, it went great. Katherine and Jon were great singers, and Annali and Judy did well on the cello. During "Don't Stop Believing", someone started waving an imaginary lighter in the air, prompting the rest of the students to start waving their arms in the air, which was quite a sight from where I was standing. If you weren't in the 700 Left house this year, you can still see the videos on our 'videos' page.

Blog #9: Another Singer

Kathrine is not going to be singing in front or half of the seventh grade alone anymore- Jon Doenier has been recruited to sing along with her. Hopefully two singers will help balance out the sound wonderfully. Both of them singing together sounds great, and the talent show performance will definitely be amazing.

Speaking of the talent show, it will be filmed, so if you don't happen to be in the 700 left house this year, you will still be able to see it on YouTube.

Blog #8: Spring, Strings, and... Pizza

Just to let you know (whether you care or not), the Spring, Strings, and Pizza concert (formerly Spring, Strings, and Subs) will be taking place this Tuesday from 7-8:30 at the high school. All of the people in Copywright will be there (a rare sight to behold), but they won't all be playing at the same time for all of the songs (not so rare a sight). I'm sure that no one cares at all, so I'll just stop talking now.

P.S Any news from "America's got Talent" should come any day now. The season premiere is on June 22nd.

Blog #7: Talent Show- The Song and The Singer

Guess what? Copywright has decided on a song for the talent show and has recruited a singer! The songs (yes, that is plural) are "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd (there may be a third song, but it depends on time- it will be a surprise until it is played!). The singer is none other than Kathrine Ziobro! She had a main role in the KMMS musical "Willy Wonka Jr." and will be in this year's Summer Academy production of "All Shook Up". I got a chance to hear her sing "Don't Stop Believing" today and I think she was pretty amazing.

Blog #6: End-of-the-Year Talent Show

Yayness. Copywright is actually going to perform live for the second time ever.

If you are in the 700 Left house at Kettle Moraine Middle School, then you will be lucky enough to hear Copywright play in the talent show on the last day of school. Only the band members in the seventh grade left house will be playing though, which is Judy, Annali, Lili, Owen, Jake, and Alex (unfortunately we can't spring everyone else from whatever they're doing that day). It hasn't yet been decided what song will be played, but I will of course tell you what it will be the moment I get told.

I think they were leaning towards "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd.

Blog #5: Lady Madonna

Yesterday, something completely amazing happened.

Two videos were made in under half an hour.

And only one of them are terrible.

If you would like to see how wonderful Copywright did on "Lady Madonna" (the video that wasn't bad), then go to the home page or click here. It is the shortest Copywright video ever made, but it is also the greatest.

The other video that was made yesterday was of "Wish You Were Here". It included a not-so-amazing guitar solo from Jake, and a less-than-perfect ending thanks to Taz. Don't worry, the video will be remade.

You probably don't care at all, but I just found this amazing music player for websites today, and I put one of them on this page and a couple more on some of the pages on this website (with permission from the all-powerful site masters, Chloé and Judy, of course). I think it's the coolest thing ever.

Blog #3: Coming Soon- Shelby's Blog

I have a bit of amazingly thrilling news to share with you. My best friend in the entire world, Shelby, is getting her own blog! I am SO excited! If you don't know her, she is the ghost who lives in the orchestra room. Her posts might not be written as often as mine, though (she is a ghost, after all), but you will get to see things that happen with Copywright in a new perspective. I'm not sure when she will start her blog, but I promise that it will be very soon. Make sure to look for it!
